Governors

The Governors of the Compass school are a body of men and women who are ultimately responsible for the performance of the school as a provider of education, and as a business.

They provide business direction and support to the headmaster and staff of the school.

The Governors of the Compass School meet officially three times a year to:

• set policy and strategy for the school
• ensure alignment with national and local education directives
• oversee the finances
• decide the actions to manage the school from a business perspective.

Between meetings they spend time working on individual projects that contribute to the strategic objectives of the school.

They come from many walks of life, some are current or past parents, and all contribute areas of expertise to the developing character of the school.
